Daytime fans might be used to presently seeing actor as Justin Kiriakis on NBC’s “,” but it wasn’t so long ago that the actor played “’s” Ned Ashton. And guess what? It looks like he’ll be headed back to Port Charles in the near future!

“I had a nice day in Port Charles yesterday,” the actor tweeted on Wednesday, March 12. “Yes, Ned will be arriving in town soon. Stay tuned. Thanks for waiting!”

At press time, a rep for “GH” had no comment regarding Kurth’s return and first airdate.

That would be a big loss for DAYS. I’ve been wondering for months why DAYS didn’t have him on much more often :-(

He is so great, and I love him together with Sonny!!

I know that in December, quite a few GH fans were wondering why the producers felt like bringing on so many past daytime stars for short-term runs on the soap. After a few months, I have to admit that I kind of like it. It feels like THE LOVE BOAT for daytime. ABC knows they don’t have the budget that would allow for so many past characters to be on the canvas at once. But, I like how past faves are flitting in and out of Port Charles, keeping us wanting more instead of overstaying their welcome & being wasted. The current plots keep moving & the contract actors are all getting juicy stuff to play while recurring characters & short-term guest stars just orbit them & make all the scenes & tie back to past history. I’m enjoying it!

I soooo agree with you! That’s actually a concept that all the soaps should adapt to a certain degree, because it keeps things interesting and the huge boost in ratings for GH says it all!!

By the way, I’m happy to see Wally Kurth on both GH and DAYS. As far as I know he’s had contracts as a recurring character with both shows for a couple of years now, so he’ll still be able to continue on DAYS, too. I definitely hope both shows have him on as often as possible :-)

Oops, I meant: a concept that all the soaps should adopt, ouf course ;-)
