The reason why the ratings are declining for soaps has nothing to do with the storylines, cast changes, etc. it’s actually because nobody watches them in daytime anymore.  DAYS E.P. Greg Meng in the latest interview with TV Guide said that recent research done by SONY indicated that only one in four viewers are being counted by Nielsen.  He went on to say that doesn’t even count soapnet viewing.  I used to think that people actually were tuning out from the soaps but when I learned that these ratings we see each week do not include anything but viewers who watch on NBC at the original airing it’s no wonder it looks like nobody’s watching.

Greg Meng doesn’t care enough about saving DAYS OF OUR LIVES to give 15 minutes to listen to what is wrong with the show.  This I state PERSONALLY.

The reason DAYS continues to fall is because they say the reboot was the result of viewer input and that they would no longer wait and ignore viewer input until the show’s ratings were so low the show couldn’t be salvalged, however this (as in the past) was not the truth.  They will not take viewer input into account.  They just keep blindly making foolish changes that do nothing but cause the show to loose more viewers – look at the ratings history compared to the times of drastic change.  I am afraid they are going to run out of an audience before they wake up and listen to what the viewers want.

Disgusting how often Bell is slapping the BB fans in there faces, only because of his desire, to write this show into a total Logan show. This show better will better renamed in “The LOGAN show” or The Bridge Loganshow… i am almost done with this crapshow… No longer worth to watch. (but my love for Hunter Tylo and Jacqui Mac is to big)

WE lost soap opera network in our area today. Only chance to view soaps is here at night. Comcast said there was no advertising interest ! Southern NH comcast. Not a happy choice I say.
