Although "The 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards" will take place as scheduled on <strong>Sunday, May 1</strong>, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced today that the awards show will not be televised as expected, citing a lack of sponsorship as the reason.
As she gears up for the launch of her new nationally syndicated lifestyle talk show, "The FAB Life," in the fall, <strong>Tyra Banks</strong> has been named host of the "42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, airing live on Pop on <strong>Sunday, April 26</strong> at 8:00 PM, ET/5:00 PM, PT, it was announced today by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and Pop. Banks has previously won two Daytime Emmy Awards for her former daytime talk show, "The Tyra Banks Show," which ran for five seasons in both national syndication and later exclusively on The CW.
It's official: "The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards" will be broadcast live on Pop on <strong>Sunday, April 26</strong> from 8:00 PM, ET/5:00 PM, PT from the historic Warner Bros. Studios lot on Stage 16, it was announced today by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). The awards show, which will share space previously utilized by such iconic films as "Casablanca," "Jurassic Park" and "Ghostbusters," will be executive produced by <strong>Michael Levitt</strong> and his Michael Levitt Productions banner. Credited for creating the "TV Land Awards," Levitt has previously produced "The Billboard Music Awards," "The Producers Guild Awards" and the "Young Hollywood Awards," along with several other award shows, music specials, reality shows, live events, non-fiction informational series and reunion specials.
Considered the Oscars for the young, The CW Television Network announced in early May that it'll broadcast "The 15th Annual Young Hollywood Awards," which marks the first time the awards show will be broadcast on television. Earlier today it was announced Michael Levitt (“The Billboard Music Awards”, “TV Land Awards”, “Scream Awards”, “Producers Guild Awards”, “World Music Awards”, “A-List Awards” and “ALMA Awards”) would be the executive producer of the telecast. The awards celebrates the best emerging talent in film, music and television.
