When we caught up with “The Young and the Restless’” Max Ehrich (Fenmore Baldwin) on the day he found out he’s been nominated as an Outstanding Younger Actor for this year’s Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards, he was slightly in a daze. “I’ve been in daydream all day,” he admitted. “I feel like I was hit by an electrical current.”

For starters, the soap’s official website currently features 40th Anniversary photo galleries and videos, and there’s an option for fans to answer trivia questions for a chance to win a VIP trip to Los Angeles to tour the set and attend the show’s on-set Anniversary event. But as Angelica McDaniel, the Senior Vice President of CBS Daytime, says: The show’s 40th Anniversary is also the perfect opportunity to start focusing on what’s ahead.
The peer votes have been cast, and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has announced the Drama Performer Pre-Nominations for the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards! Five categories have been announced, including Lead Actress and Lead Actor, Supporting Actress and Supporting Actor, as well as Younger Actress and Younger Actor.
