You are also missing out on The CW’s programming if you live in Atlanta, Detroit, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Sacramento, San Francisco and Seattle. This is the result of a carriage dispute between CBS Corp. — owner of broadcaster CBS and co-owner of The CW — and Dish Network that was set to expire on Thursday, December 4. The two sides agreed to extend talks on a new carriage contract beyond the 4:00 PM, PT deadline yesterday. The satellite provider eventually dropped the stations from its programming lineup earlier today when the talks fell through. Also affected by the dispute are three independent stations in Dallas, Los Angeles and New York and two MyNetworkTV affiliates in Boston and Miami.
While he played a waiter on two episodes of CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” in 2010, actor Christopher Sean is getting the chance to play what he loves when he joins the cast of NBC’s “Days of our Lives” next week as Paul, a baseball player who is being treated by Dr. Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian) after an injury he’s sustained. His first airdate is set for Friday, November 7.
Former “Days of our Lives” siren Krista Allen (ex-Billie Reed) has had quite an impressive run since departing Salem in 1999 with roles on shows like “Mistresses,” “Baywatch,” “Hawaii Five-0” and “Melissa & Joey,” but her latest gig puts her back in the soap orbit — at least partially: She’ll be featured in an upcoming episode of ABC’s “Castle,” which stars former “One Life to Live” actor, Nathan Fillion (ex-Joey Buchanan)!

As it gets ready to finish the traditional television season (September-May) as America’s most-watched network in viewers for the 11th time in 12 years, CBS has renewed 21 shows and has picked up an additional 8 for next season. Five of the new shows will air in the fall with the remaining three headed for midseason. The new series joining the network in the fall includes “Madam Secretary,” starring Téa Leoni as the newly appointed U.S. Secretary of State; “NCIS: New Orleans,” a spinoff of “NCIS,” starring Scott Bakula; “Scorpion,” a high-octane drama starring Elyes Gabel, Robert Patrick and Katharine McPhee, inspired by the true story of an eccentric genius and his team of brilliant misfits working to protect the U.S. from high-tech threats; the psychological thriller “Stalker,” starring Maggie Q and Golden Globe Award winner Dylan McDermott as detectives who investigate stalking incidents; and the ensemble comedy The McCarthys,” starring Laurie…
CBS has released a breakdown of how its top shows left off with their season finales in May and what viewers can expect when their new seasons premiere in the fall. “It may only be July, but it’s never too early to get caught up on where CBS series left off last May.
