A familiar face will be heading to Fairmont Crest as “Beyond the Gates” has cast a longtime soap staple as the show’s new “hot male” character.

Winning two Emmy awards for his role as Morgan Corinthos on “General Hospital,” actor Bryan Craig is open to a return to Port Charles or even heading to Salem as a recast Javi Hernandez on “Days of our Lives.”

Jill Farren Phelps, a woman whose name has been synonymous with daytime television for more than five decades, has returned to the genre, this time as a producer at “The Young and the Restless.”

Six months since making his debut in Port Charles, veteran soap star Chris L. McKenna has been upped to contract status at “General Hospital,” where he appears as WSB agent Jack Brennan.

“The Young and the Restless” star Elizabeth Hendrickson has stepped behind the camera to direct at the long-running drama series. Her first episode airs Tuesday, August 5.
