Maree Cheatham, who this week reprised her role as Marie Horton on “Days of our Lives,” will make an appearance in the Thursday, November 13 episode of CBS’ “Matlock,” portraying a nun, an occupation she’s familiar with from her time on the legendary soap opera.
In the episode, titled “Harm Reduction,” Matty (Kathy Bates) and Olympia (Skye P. Marshall) continue to test the boundaries of their friendship while helping a group of nuns. Meanwhile, Olympia and Sarah (Leah Lewis) become roped into secretive activities within the firm. Cheatham appears as “Sister Peggy,” alongside Melissa Alce as “Sister Bennie” and Marlene Forte as “Sister Louise.”
Cheatham first appeared in Salem during the debut episode of the iconic daytime drama series, which celebrated its 60th anniversary last weekend, having aired since November 8, 1965. One of her character’s former occupations was that of a nun, among others.
