The wedding between Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) is set to take place this November, and fan favorites Tricia Cast (Nina Webster) and Patty Weaver (Gina Roma) will be in attendance as guests.
Although air dates were unavailable at press time, according to Soap Opera Digest, which first reported the news, both Cast and Weaver are taping this week at the show’s Television City studio for their appearance in the special wedding episodes. Nina is Cricket’s best friend and Gina is Danny’s sister.
Last seen on the soap in March 2024, Cast first joined the cast of the daytime drama series in June 1986, and won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series category in 1992 for her portrayal.
Since 2001, Cast has appeared in a recurring or guest capacity, including episodes aired throughout November 2008 and a more impactful run in 2009. In September 2013 and August 2014, Cast appeared for a handful of episodes. It wasn’t until 2020, and again in 2021, that Cast would return to Genoa City. Her other recent stints include appearing as part of the show’s 50th anniversary celebration and the 40th anniversary of Lauralee Bell in 2023.
In July, Nina’s son, Phillip “Chance” Chancellor IV (Conner Floyd), was killed. A funeral for the character was held off-screen.
As for Weaver, she first arrived in Genoa City in October 1982 and appeared for several years thereafter. By 2009, her appearances dwindled until she returned to town in 2013 for Katherine Chancellor’s funeral. She most recently appeared in 2023 for the show’s big anniversary celebration.

Last month, “The Young and the Restless” held an online poll that had fans voting to determine which of three wedding gowns Cricket would wear during her wedding to Danny. On September 22, a second round of voting began with the top two choices remaining. The winning dress is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
