CBS quietly renewed “Soapy Hosted by Rebecca Budig and Greg Rikaart” for a second season, dropping an all-new episode on Tuesday featuring “Days of our Lives” star AnnaLynne McCord (Cat Greene) as the first guest of the new season.

In the episode, AnnaLynne talks about her move to daytime soaps after a stint in primetime with roles on “Nip/Tuck” and “90210,” plus she opens up about being homeschooled, escaping poverty to pursue modeling and acting, overcoming generational trauma, and confronting her childhood abuser.

AnnaLynne also speaks about her work to end human trafficking, her love of neuroscience and ancient medicine, and finding the love of her life.

Launched in July, “Soapy” is the brand new podcast series hosted by “The Bold and the Beautiful” star Rebecca Budig (Taylor Hayes) and “Days of our Lives” star Greg Rikaart (Leo Stark), real-life friends having lively, nostalgic conversations with beloved stars from the past and present as well as the creative minds from across the entire soap opera community, including all networks, platforms, and dayparts (daytime and primetime). The show ultimately takes a deep dive into the legacy, fandom and enduring appeal of soap operas.

Watch AnnaLynne’s discussion with Budig and Rikaart below.

Previous guests have included Eric Braeden (Victor Newman, “The Young and the Restless”), Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans, Days of our Lives”), Sheila Ducksworth (Executive Producer, “Beyond the Gates”), Lauralee Bell (Christine Blair, “The Young and the Restless”), Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos, “General Hospital”),  Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter Walton, “The Bold and the Beautiful”) and Heather Tom (Katie Logan, “The Bold and the Beautiful”), Marc Cherry (Creator and Executive Producer, “Desperate Housewives”), Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin, “The Young and the Restless”) and Tracey Bregman (Lauren Fenmore, “The Young and the Restless”), Eva LaRue (“General Hospital,” “All My Children”), Karla Mosley (Dani Dupree, “Beyond the Gates”), Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer, “The Bold and the Beautiful”), Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman, “The Young and the Restless”) and Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain, “General Hospital”).

Although a breakdown of guests set to appear in the new season has not been released at press time, it’s understood that “Soapy Hosted by Rebecca Budig and Greg Rikaart” will continue with weekly releases, as it did during season one. Episodes can be enjoyed for free via the Audacy app and the CBS brand YouTube channel.

Season one of the podcast was produced by the Paramount Multiplatform Production Group, with Mike Benson serving as executive producer and Andrew Pemberton-Fowler as producer.
