“General Hospital” will again be preempted on Thursday, October 2, due to ABC’s continued coverage of the Major League Baseball Wild Card Series, this time featuring Game 3 of the American League between the Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Guardians. The long-running daytime drama series is set to return with all-new episodes on Friday, October 3.
On Tuesday, ABC aired Game 1 of the series between the San Diego Padres and the Chicago Cubs, with the Cubs victorious at 3-1. Wednesday’s Game 2 saw the Padres win 3-0. The deciding game between the two teams vying for the National League title will air on ESPN on Thursday, starting at 5:08 p.m. ET.
The deciding game between the Tigers and the Guardians is scheduled for 3:08 p.m. ET on ABC and will be a winner-take-all for the American League Division Series on Thursday at Progressive Field. Game 1 on Tuesday saw the Tigers win in a 2-1 victory, while the Guardians took Game 2 on Wednesday with a 6-1 win.
As a result of the preemption of “General Hospital,” the episode featuring the reading of Monica’s will is now scheduled to air on Monday, October 6, leaving fans of the soap opera several more days to anticipate who will be named the new owner of her house, which Alan gave to her.
