Alley Mills took home the Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Performance in A Drama Series for her role as Heather Webber on ABC’s “General Hospital” during the Friday, October 17 broadcast of “The 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.”
This is her second win in the category, having previously won the award in 2023 for the same role.
In her acceptance speech, Mills expressed surprise at winning the award, revealing she had been rooting for her TV daughter, Avery Kristen Pohl (ex-Esme Prince, “General Hospital”), who was also nominated in the category.
Acceptance Speech
“You know, it’s so great to be here in the family of everybody that we work with. We should always have done this. We should be with the crew. But I’m gonna be good because of all of the awards that are coming up, and speak in 30 seconds, I’m gonna thank, of course, Frank Valentini, for, you know, doing the show, to the wonderful writers that made our characters. But to the family, the village that supports us. I love you guys so much.
“Without the lighting and the camera, we were nothing. And our makeup, our clothes, and everything else. I can’t be amiss. I know it’s not popular to say thank God, but I’m gonna thank God ’cause I didn’t get to do it last time. We’re living in really dark times right now. Everything’s crazy. So, we just gotta keep our spirits high. I love my husband. I gotta just give him my love. I miss you, baby. God bless.”
Other Nominees
In addition to Mills and Pohl, nominees in the Guest Performance category this year included Linden Ashby as Cameron Kirsten on “The Young and the Restless,” Clint Howard as Tom Starr on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Jacqueline Grace Lopez as Blaze on “General Hospital” and Valarie Pettiford as Amy Lewis on “The Young and the Restless.”
