Renewed for a sixth season last year ahead of its Season 5 premiere, daytime talk show “The Drew Barrymore Show” will return for Season 6 on Monday, September 8, Soap Opera Network can confirm.
During Season 5, the Drew Barrymore-hosted talk show saw time period upgrades, including five of the top 10 markets, as well as a station and time slot upgrade in Houston, resulting in significant growth among Total Viewers (+17%) where it emerged as #2 talk show in national syndication, behind only the long-running “Live with Kelly and Mark.”
Also during Season 5, the talk show began airing as an hour block at 9:00 a.m. following “CBS Mornings” in three markets, including #1 New York (WCBS), #5 Dallas (KTVT) and #8 Boston (WBZ). In three additional markets, the talk show aired as an hour block at 3:00 p.m., including #4 Philadelphia (KYW), #10 San Francisco (KPIX) and #18 (WFOR). In #6 Houston, the show moved to NBC affiliate KPRC, airing in an hour block at 10:00 a.m.
As of February 2025, there was also year–over-year growth across all key demos, including +29% among Women 18-49, +17% among Women 25-54 and +10% among Adults 25-54. Across digital platforms, the show was up +233% year-over-year to 227 million views on Facebook, while Instagram engagement was up +57%. Meanwhile, on TikTok, year-over-year growth was up +36% to 332 million total views.
Ahead of Season 6, “The Drew Barrymore Show” is releasing extended interviews with Season 5 guests all summer long on its YouTube Channel.
More recently, an extended cut of Barrymore’s conversation with Chet Hanks saw the talk show host get honest with the rapper/actor about their sobriety journeys. Other extended interviews include chats with Chloe Fineman (“Saturday Night Live”), the cast of “Sex Lives of College Girls” and “Yellowjackets,” as well as a sitdown with “Wicked” stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.
