Daytime newcomer Charlie Besso has been cast as Tobias on “General Hospital,” Soap Opera Network can confirm. He first airs on the Tuesday, February 18 episode of the drama series.
Tobias was first referenced in the December 20, 2023 episode, wherein Aiden (then played by Enzo De Angelis), came out to his mother, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), for the first time as they prepared a Christmas meal together and Aiden reveled in his passion for culinary arts.
In Tuesday’s episode, which sees Port Charles celebrating Valentine’s Day, Aiden (Colin Cassidy) introduces Tobias to his parents as the young couple prepare to go skating together.
The episode also sees former “Days of our Lives” star Guy Wilson (ex-Will Horton) temporarily appearing on the soap as Lucky Spencer, Aiden’s father.

Although there was no reason provided for the sudden casting switch at press time, Wilson is only scheduled to appear in a handful of episodes as original portrayer Jonathan Jackson is already back at the show’s Los Angeles studio taping fresh episodes and will appear on screen again soon.
Note: The Valentine’s Day episode of “General Hospital” was pushed back due to a last-minute schedule change last month. The soap was preempted on Tuesday, January 7, due to ABC News’ ongoing coverage of the state funeral of former President Jimmy Carter.
Besso is a French-American actor who made his television debut in 2022 playing the role of Vincent Conte in the first four episodes of the Peacock original series, “The Calling.”
Created by David E. Kelley (“L.A. Law,” “The Practice”), the series is about an NYPD detective on a spiritual mission to do justice who relies on his own belief in humanity as seemingly routine investigations turn upside down. The series starred Jeff Wilbusch, Juliana Canfield and Karen Robinson.
More recently, Besso appeared in an episode of Prime Video’s mega-hit drama series “Fallout,” based on the video game series, and the recently wrapped second season of Netflix’s “The Night Agent.” The 22-year-old Besso also appeared in three episodes of ABC’s “Will Trent,” playing a character named Joey.
Besso can also be seen in “Princeton’s in the Mix,” a 15-minute short film that follows a wealthy mother of a high schooler who discovers that her son can get extra time on the SAT if he gets injured. Of course, things spiral out of control.
The project was written and directed by Jonathan DiMaio. In addition to Besso, the film also stars Heather Burns (“Miss Congeniality,” “Manchester by the Sea”), and made its world premiere at the 2024 Dances With Films (DWF) last June.
