For the first time since it was announced early last month that Steve Burton would be reprising his role as Jason Morgan on “General Hospital,” the actor is officially taping scenes at the Prospect Studios in Hollywood, California, it was announced today.

His first airdate back on screen has also been revealed to be Monday, March 4, with an umbrella story sources indicate has been written by the show’s new head writers, Patrick Mulcahey and Elizabeth Korte.

In photos shared on the show’s official Instagram page, Burton can be seen wearing his character’s classic black t-shirt while standing in the boxing ring on the set of Volonino’s Gym, which is owned by Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

In the post, the show noted, “Look who’s back in the ring! @1SteveBurton has officially returned to Port Charles… and that’s all we can tell you (for now).”

In a separate post, shared exclusively on the actor’s Daily Drama YouTube channel, Burton told fans in a video, “All right, so here’s what’s crazy is I’m back on the set. We’re getting ready to shoot right now. So, listen, I got to talk to the head writers. This story is going to be sick. It’s gonna be awesome. So, make sure you keep watching because the pieces of the puzzle are gonna be fit for when I return. And that return date, that air date, it is March 4th. Stay tuned. Keep watching. And, if you stopped, get back because it’s gonna be awesome.”
