‘All American’ Renewed for a Sixth Season at The CW

“All American” will be back for a sixth season set to air during the 2023-2024 broadcast season, The CW announced earlier this week. The series, which currently ranks as the network’s highest-rated in Adults 18-49 and the most-watched overall across all platforms, is the first series renewed under new corporate owner Nexstar and the first by Brad Schwartz who took over as president of entertainment in November.

“Over the last five seasons, ‘All American’ has established itself as one of the all-time CW flagship franchises,” said Schwartz. “‘All American’ is not only the network’s youngest series, but also the strongest performer when combining all our platforms. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, the entire creative team and the incredible cast for another season of captivating family drama.”

From Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Studios, with executive producers Nkechi Okoro Carroll (“Rosewood,” “The Resident”), Greg Berlanti (“The Flash,” “You,” “Titans”), Sarah Schechter (“The Flight Attendant,” “You,” “Riverdale”), John A. Norris (“Deception”), Jameal Turner (“Rosewood”), Mike Herro (“One Tree Hill”), and David Strauss (“American Woman”), “All American” follows a rising high school football player from South L.A. who is recruited to play for Beverly Hills High while the wins, losses and struggles of two families from vastly different worlds — South Crenshaw and Beverly Hills — begin to collide. Inspired by the life of pro football player Spencer Paysinger.

“All American” stars Daniel Ezra as Spencer James, Taye Diggs (“Guiding Light”) as Billy Baker, Samantha Logan as Olivia Baker, Bre-Z as Coop, Greta Onieogou as Layla Keating, Monet Mazur as Laura Baker, Michael Evans Behling as Jordan Baker, Cody Christian as Asher Adams, Karimah Westbrook as Grace James, Chelsea Tavares as Patience and JJ Parker as Hunter Clowdus.

The current fifth season of “All American” returns with its midseason premiere on Monday, January 23 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
