Long before joining the cast of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” actor Sean Kanan portrayed Mike Barnes in the 1989 film “The Karate Kid Part III,” which is where he learned about the art of Cobra Kai. With several cast members from the movie and its previous iterations already returning for the Netflix series aptly titled “Cobra Kai,” which now has four seasons under its belt and is expected to release its already filmed fifth season later this year, fans have been wondering if they’ll ever Kanan back in that world.
While it’s yet to be confirmed whether the actor will be appearing in the aforementioned fifth season or any future seasons of the show should it get renewed by the streaming giant, one thing is certain: “The Bold and the Beautiful” has all the action you’ll need.
In today’s episode of the daytime drama series, Kanan’s Deacon Sharpe goes fist to fist against rival Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) who is out for revenge after learning that his wife, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), shared a kiss with her former lover on New Year’s Eve and that the two slept together – albeit in the literal sense and not the sexual kind (he does not know that though).
Teasing what’s to come in today’s episode, Kanan recently said on Instagram, “ATTENTION COBRAS! You know me as Karate’s Bad Boy Mike Barnes but check me out as ‘Deacon Sharpe’ this Monday 12pm pacific 1:30 Eastern time on ‘The Bold and the Beautifu’l on CBS when the punches and kicks will be flying!” Earlier this morning he added, “The talking is over. Don’t miss the big fight between Deacon and Ridge today.”
