More than a year since it was first announced, MC Lyte’s rap sitcom “Partners In Rhyme” has finally gotten a release date, streaming service ALLBLK announced. The series will be premiere Thursday, November 18 with the first of seven episodes which will be released weekly on the AMC Networks owned platform.

Also starring “Days of our Lives” alum Precious Way (ex-Chanel Dupree), the series follows the trials of an up-and-coming female high school rapper and social media sensation named Luscious T (Way) who thinks she is the best thing to happen to the rap game since Cardi B

When rap pioneer Lana Crawford (Lyte) discovers she is being dropped as an artist from her label and in massive debt, The OG rap star is propositioned into managing her niece, Luscious T, who’s taking the Instagram world by storm with her beats.

Generations collide as Lana and Luscious T try to find their footing, working, and living under the same roof. Lana’s feisty best friend and personal assistant, Victoria “Vikki” Sims (Cloie Wyatt Taylor); Mekhai Crawford (Ron G.) her younger, freeloading brother; High-power label executive and mastermind behind the new dynamic duo, Hazel Wilson (Rolanda Watts) and trusted recording engineer Boston Jacobs (Wesley Jonathan), are all on hand, to help this legend raise a star!

Partners In Rhyme” is executive produced by Bentley Kyle Evans for Harvest Studio’s, MC Lyte and Lynn Richardson in association with production company Sunni Gyrl and ALLBLK executives Brett Dismuke and Nikki Love. Evans serves as the series director.

Outside of “Partners In Rhyme” and “Days of our Lives,” Way can also be seen in a recurring role as Jojo in the primetime drama series “Queens.” The series airs Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
