During the annual look ahead promo shown following the annual “Day of Days” fan event which took place virtually earlier this evening, it was revealed that Greg Vaughan is once again returning to “Days of our Lives” as Eric Brady next month.
In the promo, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) is praying with a cross in his hand, saying, “I need you to give me a sign,” while black and white footage of John splashing holy water on a possessed Marlena (Deidre Hall) is shown. Eric then enters a room wearing his full priest attire just before Marlena as the devil says, “Wow…”
Later, Kristen DiMera is shown in the form of Eileen Davidson who continues her run playing the character in devil form. Shown in bed, Kristen says to Eric, “What do you say, father? You want to make a sequel?” She’s seemingly referring to the sex tape the two did way back when Kristen was involved with Brady.
Vaughan’s first airdate back to “DAYS” is not known at this time but it is expected to be sometime next month considering the timeline of the promo mostly surrounds the Christmas period, and it’s long been stated that the MarDevil/Possession storyline will reach its climax by Christmas.
Considering the iconic movie “The Exorcist” required a priest to get the demon out of the young girl it’s no surprise it’ll take another one to do the same for Salem. We’ll soon find out!
