THE SCOOP

Last appearing on “The Young and the Restless” in 2018 for the show’s 45th-anniversary episode, original cast member Janice Lynde is set to reprise her role as Leslie Brooks, a world-renowned pianist, beginning in mid-October. She’ll appear over multiple episodes on the daytime drama series.

In addition to her run on “Y&R,” Lynde has also appeared on “General Hospital” and played Tracy Mathews/Tracy DeWitt on “Another World.” She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy award for her portrayal of Laurel Chapin on “One Life to Live” in the mid-1980s. In primetime, Lynde has appeared in episodes of “The Office,” “Touched by an Angel,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” and more recently in “Diary of a Single Mom,” among others. Lynde also starred in her very own musical variety show entitled “From Janice with Love.”

As part of the Brooks family, Lynde appeared in the very first episode of “Y&R,” which premiered March 26, 1973 on CBS.
