If you’ve ever wondered how you could get access to all the beautiful sounds played on “The Young and the Restless,” now is your chance to listen at your heart’s content. RC Cates and Mike Dobson, the show’s music supervisors, have curated music featured on the show as well as some of their favorite songs for the show’s official Spotify playlist.
Featuring music by Alicia Keys, Nick Lachey, Enrique Iglesias and Il Divo, among others, the playlist currently contains 22 songs for one hour and 23 minutes worth of listening time. Entitled “The Young and the Restless: Through the Years (Official Playlist),” additional music includes at least four songs from current “Y&R” cast member Cait Fairbanks (Tess Porter), including her hits “Something in You,” “How Could A Lie Feel So True” and “More Than A Vow,” plus “Rock On – Ver. 09” by former cast member Michael Damian (ex-Danny Romalotti). Also featured is the granddaddy of all sounds, “Nadia’s Theme” by Barry DeVorzon, the show’s iconic theme song.
“Hey, I’m excited to share a link to the Official ‘Young and the Restless’ Spotify playlist,” wrote Cates on Twitter recently. “Our first offering is a list of some of the songs featured on the show through the years. Mike and I will be adding to the playlist, this is just the start. Hope you enjoy!”
