Get ready to go beyond Salem when Peacock debuts the limited series “Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem,” a five-part limited spinoff of the venerable NBC drama series “Days of our Lives.”
Former “DAYS” cast member and current “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Lisa Rinna will reprise her role as Billie Reed for the first time since 2018. She’ll be joined by current “DAYS” cast members Deidre Hall, Drake Hogestyn, Jackée Harry, Victoria Konefal, Robert Scott Wilson, Billy Flynn, Lamon Archey and Sal Stowers for a story that brings their characters out of Salem as they each travel to different parts of the globe. Additional cast members will be announced at a later date.
The series follows the Salemites as they spend time over a long weekend scattered around different parts of the world: John and Marlena (Hall and Hogestyn) travel to Zurich, Ben and Ciara (Wilson and Konefal) have a romantic getaway in New Orleans, Chad (Flynn) visits some old friends in Phoenix, and Abe, Paulina, Lani, and Eli (Reynolds, Harry, Archey and Stowers) vacation in Miami. What they don’t realize is that they are all part of a mystery involving stolen jewels which, in the wrong hands, could cause dire consequences for Salem. Enter ISA agent Reed (Rinna) as she crosses the globe in search of the missing treasure. Packed with all of the romance, action, drama, and surprises that only “Days of our Lives” can deliver, fans will spend a week with their favorite Salem super couples and reconnect with many familiar faces along the way.
Ken Corday will executive produce with Albert Alaar serving as co-executive producer. Ron Carlivati is the head writer. Corday Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television are the lead studios just as they are on “DAYS.”
A premiere date for “Beyond Salem” has not been announced.
