Despite attracting its largest audience since the week of May 3-7, 2021, “General Hospital” hit lows in Women 18-49 and Women 25-54, losing the most in both demos than any other daytime series during the week of June 7-11, 2021. Meanwhile, “The Talk” hit a new series low in total viewers and in households. Regardless, the series was recently renewed by CBS for a 12th season, the first full season without any original co-hosts following the March departure of Sharon Osbourne.

“The View” with its 0.36 rating in Women 18-49 was up year-to-year (+0.01) and gained 48,000 viewers week-to-week, drawing its largest overall audience in five weeks with 2.360 million viewers tuning in. The show ranked seventh in viewers and sixth in households and the key women demographics. Meanwhile, network sibling “GMA3: What You Need to Know” gained the most viewers week-to-week overall (+76,000) and was mostly stable week-to-week and year-to-year in all other categories. This marked the show’s final week in which it can be compared to its year-ago performance as “Pandemic: What You Need to Know.” The show was re-titled to “GMA3: What You Need to Know” starting the week of June 15-19, 2020.

Continuing to shine compared to their year-ago rerun numbers, “The Young and the Restless” was up by nearly 1.3 million viewers and “The Bold and the Beautiful” was up nearly 1.2 million viewers. Outside of “The View” in Women 18-49 and “The Talk” in Women 25-54, both “Y&R” and “B&B” were the only daytime shows up year-to-year in all categories.

“Days of our Lives” attracted its third-lowest audience ever in total viewers with just 1.544 million viewers tuning in. The show was down -20,000 viewers week-to-week and down -254,000 year-to-year. In Women 18-49, the show hit series low with a 0.24 rating. “DAYS'” weekly average is based on its Monday through Wednesday performance only as it was preempted on Thursday and Friday for NBC’s coverage of the French Open.

What follows is a rundown of how the daytime shows performed during the week of June 7-11, 2021 in Women 18-49 and Women 25-54 rating, the primary sales demos that determine advertising rates for daytime television programming. We’re also including households and total viewers, however, figures are not available for “3rd Hour TODAY” or “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” in terms of our weekly reporting. The two traditionally rank eighth and 11th, respectively, in both categories.
