The ladies of both CBS soaps, “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” have now taken part in the popular #DontRushChallenge that took social media by storm in late-March. Launched Toluwalase Asoloby, a 20-year-old college student who was looking to “kill time” and have fun with her seven friends, the challenge highlights women transitioning from their natural beautiful looks to a glamourous style after throwing just a hint of makeup on their faces while handing brushes to one another. “B&B” released their video in mid-April while “Y&R” released theirs on Monday.
Amassing more than two million video views on Twitter since its March 22 upload, the original #DontRushChallenge video is set to the song “Don’t Rush” by Young T & Bugsey featuring Headie One. The “B&B” and “Y&R” iterations do not use the song, however.
With music by Daniel Farrant and James Knight, the ladies of Genoa City hand their hand, throw and drop their brushes to the tune of “Ticket To Swing. Meanwhile, “B&B” went for traditional by use of an extended composition version of the show’s iconic theme song.
The “Y&R” #DontRushChallenge video features Melissa Ordway (Abby), Hunter King (Summer), Cait Fairbanks (Tessa), Camryn Grimes (Mariah), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea) and Brytni Sarpy (Elena). The ladies from “B&B” taking part include Denise Richards (Shawna), Annika Noelle (Hope), Rena Sofer (Quinn), Karla Mosley (Maya), Heather Tom (Katie), Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke), Courtney Hope (Sally), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy), Kiara Barnes (Zoe), Ashley Jones (Bridget), Jennifer Gareis (Donna) and Katrina Bowden (Flo).
