On Saturday, April 4 at 10:00 a.m. PDT, Palm Springs-based iHub Radio will broadcast a special tribute to “All My Children’s” John Callahan who died on Saturday, March 28 after suffering a massive stroke the day prior. The special will be hosted by iHub Radio owner John McMullen and feature special guests from “AMC,” including alums Bobbie Eakes, Walt Willey and Julia Barr, among others.
Callahan, a staple of the station since its launch in May 2018, was the host of “The John Callahan Show,” which aired every Saturday morning on iHub. Encores aired Mondays at 12 noon. The weekly series was topical and relevant to the Coachella Valley area where the New York native was a resident up until his passing.
“We are devastated and share the grief felt by his family, especially daughter Kaya,” McMullen said in a statement on the station’s website. “I just spoke with John on Wednesday [March 25] and can hardly believe his bigger-than-life personality is no longer with us.”
