Beginning today, Wednesday, January 29, ABC will resume airing all-new episodes of “General Hospital” after the network previously decided to preempt the show or air re-runs in markets impacted by ABC News impeachment coverage. The episodes will be released beginning with all previously scheduled but unaired episodes that were impacted when the impeachment trial began on Tuesday, January 21.
An all-new episode of #GH is coming your way today. It will air in areas not impacted by the ongoing news coverage and be made available online for those which are. All you'll need to watch is an internet connection. Come back here after 8PM EST for direct access. See you then! pic.twitter.com/QBcIhMWw3y

The show will air on the west coast and in those areas not impacted. Full episodes will be made available to all viewers each weekday on ABC.com and the ABC app beginning at 8:00 p.m. EST. Hulu and other on-demand services will be provided the episodes the next day. The network says, “These viewing opportunities for ‘General Hospital’ allow fans to enjoy their favorite daytime drama. This cadence will continue with subsequent episodes added as necessary or as coverage continues.”
ABC joins CBS in returning original programming to their network, at least on the west coast and markets not impacted. Similarly, CBS has provided episodes online and on CBS All Access.
