She may be raising hell in primetime via Freeform’s “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists,” but for three years Hayley Erin took on the role of Kiki Jerome on “General Hospital” and the actress won the coveted Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal during “The 46th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.” The award was presented by game show host Alex Trebek (“Jeopardy!”).
In her acceptance speech, Erin fought happy tears as she shared, “Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Alex Trebek. This is amazing! Thank you so much!” She added, “I can’t believe this is real. I just want to say thank you to everyone at ‘General Hospital.’ It was such an incredible ride and such a pleasure to work with all of you. The writers, the directors, the producers…thank you, thank you, for having me.” Erin further thanked her family for their support, among others.
Erin beat out the likes of Olivia Rose Keegan (Claire Brady, “Days of our Lives”), Victoria Konefal (Ciara Brady, “Days of our Lives”), Chloe Lanier (Nelle Benson, “General Hospital”) and Eden McCoy (Josslyn Jacks, “General Hospital”)

Although the two were competing against one another for the same award this year, Erin and Lanier took time after the festive night came to a close to have some fun. Lanier, who won in the same category for her portrayal of Nelle Benson on “GH” last year, duked it out with Erin as they battled to the death with their respective Daytime Emmy Award statutes as their weapon of choice.
