While Linsey Godfrey has moved on to Salem as Sarah Horton on “Days of our Lives,” the actress took time over the weekend to reminisce over her old stomping ground at “The Bold and the Beautiful,” following news that the soap opera had decided to kill off her former character, Caroline Spencer.

“So I just got back from Caroline’s was beautiful,” Godfrey quipped. “It appears it’s time to say goodbye to our Caroline Spencer. I just want to first say a huge thank you to [executive producer and head writer] Brad Bell and the entire ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ family. I truly adored every aspect of the wacky, feisty, sassy Caroline. I loved my time at ‘Bold’! Don’t be sad, even though she is gone, I promise Brad and the writers have some awesome drama up their sleeves for you! Thank you for all your support and love over the years! Don’t worry, I hear Caroline has a brunette doctor doppelgänger over in Salem, might be worth investigating.”

Caroline’s death coincided with last week’s return of Thomas Forrester to the canvas as played by Matthew Atkinson (ex-Austin Travers, “The Young and the Restless”). The character, last portrayed by Pierson Fodé, shared a son with Caroline, a boy, named Douglas.

Godfrey portrayed Caroline on “B&B” from 2012-2017, and again for brief appearances in 2018.
