For the just completed November Sweep, “The View” toppled over competing “The Talk” in Total Viewers, Women 18-49 and Women 25-54, the key sales demos that sets ad rates for daytime programming. The ABC morning talker generated its largest lead over the CBS afternoon talk show in six years during a November Sweep and its largest lead in four years during any Sweep in viewers — since November 2012 and May 2014, respectively.
For the sweep, and based on Most Current Data from Nielsen Media Research, “The View”” delivered 2.878 million Total Viewers, 467,000 Women 25-54 viewers and 331,000 Women 18-49 viewers.
Compared to the July 2018 Sweep, “The View” increased by double-digits in Total Viewers (+12%), Women 25-54 (+11%) and Women 18-49 (+15%). The show averaged 2.572 million in viewers, 421,000 W25-54 and 288,000 W18-49, respectively, at the time. Meanwhile, during the November Sweep, “The View” widened its lead over “The Talk” across the board. “The Talk” attracted 2.343 million Total Viewers, 381,000 Women 25-54 and 271,000 Women 18-49. “The View” led “The Talk” by +535,000 in viewers, +86,000 in W25-54 and +60,000 in W18-49.
“The View” posted its largest Total Viewer lead over the CBS program during a November sweep in 6 years and during any sweep in more than 4 years – since November 2012 and May 2014, respectively.
