In honor of National Fried Chicken Day, Kentucky Fried Chicken founder Colonel Sanders (via actor George Hamilton) will be making a special guest appearance on the Friday, July 6 episode of ABC’s “General Hospital,” which happens to be one of his favorites.
“The appearance on ‘General Hospital’ is part of KFC’s strategy to have Colonel Sanders and the brand show up in unexpected ways that are authentic and meaningful to its customers,” a spokeswoman for the company tells Soap Opera Network.
Leading up to his appearance, the official Twitter account for KFC has been promoting the event with “GH” tailored tweets that include such zingers as, “I don’t know, Carly. There’s something fishy about Kevin. And that goes for all Kevins everywhere, every time. #GH55 #GH #GeneralHospital” and “C’mon, Sam. All we’re asking is for you to passionately punch Jason in the lips with your lips—ya know, for old times’ sake. #GH55 #GH #GeneralHospital #JaSam #Lipboxing #KissAgain #OldTimesSake.”
