With nearly a decade under her belt as Chloe Mitchell on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless,” Elizabeth Hendrickson has now opted to return to her ABC roots. The actress has signed on to portray a newly created character on the network’s “General Hospital.”

According to Soap Opera Digest, which first reported the news, Hendrickson will begin taping scenes at the Prospect Studios based set this week. A first air date is unknown at this time.

Prior to “Y&R,” Hendrickson portrayed both Maggie and Frankie Stone on ABC’s “All My Children.” The actress starred in a first of its kind web series, “Imaginary Bitches,” portraying the whimsical Lizzie alongside former “AMC” co-star Eden Riegel (ex-Bianca Montgomery; ex-Heather Stevens, “Y&R).
