Michael Muhney (ex-Adam Newman, “The Young and the Restless”) has been spending a lot of time in Vancouver of late and it’s for good reason: the actor has landed a role on ABC’s upcoming drama, “The Good Doctor.”

“Enjoying a little free time riding around lovely Vancouver while out here filming,” tweeted Muhney of how he’s spent his time while not filming on the high profile new drama series. He added, “Mega-overwhelmed by all the people here in Vancouver showing me love. Folks even shouting at me on my bike, ‘Look! It’s Adam Newman!'”

Details on the role Muhney will be playing, how many episodes and when he’ll first air were not available at press time.

“The Good Doctor” follows the story of Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore, “Bates Motel”), a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, who relocates from a quiet country life to join the prestigious St. Bonaventure hospital’s surgical unit.
