A veteran of daytime soaps, actress Alla Korot (ex-Allie Doyle, “All My Children”; ex-Jenna Norris, ” Another World”) is heading to “General Hospital,” confirms an ABC representative. Character details and when she’ll first air were not made available, however.

Korot’s joining “GH” marks a return for the actress to the Prospect Studios based set of the daytime drama series. She previously portrayed an HIV-positive patient at the hospital during the first season of “General Hospital: Night Shift,” the soap’s primetime spinoff that aired on SOAPnet a decade ago.

Last seen in daytime in 2016 as Janet Bernard on “Days of our Lives,” Korot has appeared in episodes of several primetime shows including a recent stint in the final season of NBC’s “Grimm” as Dasha Karpushin and a short arc on “Castle.” Korot also appeared in “Bones,” “NCIS” and “The Mentalist,” among many others.

Soap Opera Digest first reported Korot’s joining “GH.”
