Wally Kurth is going to be doing double duty, again. The actor, who was taken off contract at “Days of our Lives” where he plays Justin Kiriakis, is now able to return to “General Hospital” to reprise his role of Ned Ashton.

“I still watch the show and look forward to joining in the fun,” an excited Kurth told Soap Opera Digest. “I’ve really missed being there and look forward to seeing all my friends.”

Kurth will make his first Port Charles appearance on March 28. Story wise, the timing seems perfect for Ned to make a comeback. His TV mother, Tracy (Jane Elliot), has been experiencing strange lapses and recently suffered a seizure. Yet, she refuses to acknowledge that anything is wrong. Perhaps eldest son Ned will be the one to convince her to take her symptoms seriously.

Kurth had been recurring on both “GH” and “DAYS” until March 2015, when he was offered a contract with the NBC soap. He accepted the offer and, as a result, had to leave “GH”

In November 2015, the “DAYS” brass informed Kurth that he was being taken off contract with the show. At the time, Kurth tweeted, “I’m still in Salem. Still the DA. Still working. The show is really good and I’m still having fun. Remember, it’s called showBusiness.”

While Kurth will continue to be featured as Justin on “DAYS,” he will now also have the opportunity to stir things up as “GH’s” Ned, too.
