On Wednesday, January 27, we’ll finally get our first glimpse at what the “43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” nominees could potentially look like when the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) releases pre-nominations in the categories of Outstanding Lead Actress, Lead Actor, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Younger Actor and Younger Actress. Before the potential prospects are released, why not think about joining the judging panel, who collectively votes the pre-nominees into the final selection process? There’s still time to do so!
In a newly released promotional video produced by NATAS, along with several prominent daytime personalities, the institution that awards daytime’s most coveted award is looking to encourage more judges for the awards, but only if you are a member of NATAS or the Television Academy and have national television credits.
In the video, several daytime personalities includingSheryl Underwood (“The Talk”), Mario Lopez (“Extra”; ex-Christian Ramirez, “The Bold and the Beautiful”), “The Young and the Restless'” Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin) and “General Hospital’s” Maura West (Ava Jerome), among others, share how you can become eligible to vote even if you aren’t currently on a daytime program, where to sign up to be a judge and why being a judge is important.
If after viewing the video, and you are eligible, make sure to visit DaytimeEmmys.TV for more information and to register.
