Telenovela superstar Ximena Duque has been cast in the newly created role of Blanca on NBC’s “Days of our Lives,” it was announced today by producers of the soap.
The actress will first air beginning in May for a story arc that brings her into the Hernandez circle of drama, particularly that of Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus), Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and their estranged mother, played by Alma Delfina.
Appearing in such telenovelas as “Corazón Valiente” and “Santa Diabla,” among others, Duque began her professional acting career in 2006 with the Telemundo telenovela “Decisiones,” which aired in both the United States and Latin America.
The Colombian born actress made her big-screen debut in the film “Primero Enero.”
She’ll next appear in the film “Morir Soñando.”
