Good news, soap fans: The date for the 2015 Daytime Emmy Awards has been set, and it’s closer than you might think!

Next year’s annual award show will be taking place on Sunday, April 26, meaning that performer pre-nomination clips have to be turned in by Friday, November 28, so the final nominees can be announced on Tuesday, March 26.

Adding to the excitement is the announcement that new categories have been added, including an award for high-profile guest stints, such as the case with “'” (Ian Ward).

No details regarding how the 2015 Daytime Emmy award show will be broadcast have been released, but sources tell us that NATAS has been working behind the scenes to try and secure a television broadcast deal for this year’s show — possibly on POP (formerly TV Guide Network). Stay tuned as further details develop!
