The rest of the country may have been preparing for Thanksgiving by sending out dinner invites, planning menus, buying turkeys, selecting table settings and betting on the day’s big game, but Soap Opera Network has been getting ready for the celebratory day in a different way: Reaching out to several of your favorite “Days of our Lives” stars and getting the scoop on what they’re most thankful for! “I‘m really thankful that I live in a country where we have access to clean water. That’s been on my mind lately working with Charity Water, and fortunately, we’ve been able to extend the campaign until December 31, which is awesome, so fans can go onto the campaign page and they can donate and enter to win, and the highest bidder at the end of December 31, there’s a signed script of a really, really exciting special episode that we’re going to auction off that has all of my notes in it. There’s also a water can and a lunch with me, Melissa Reeves (Jennifer), Shawn Christian (Daniel), Ari Zucker (Nicole) and some other people. But that’s really been the center of my world lately, focusing on that. And it’s been something I’m grateful for daily. Ever since I was made aware of the water crisis, I think about it. How many steps does it take for me to get clean water? Maybe five. How many footsteps does it take someone in Cambodia? It’s two hours away. So that’s something I’m really grateful for this year.”
