In tonight’s episode of The CW’s “Gossip Girl,” entitled “It Girl, Interrupted” (episode #519), Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) is looking to remove herself from the spotlight as part of the popular entourage known as the Upper East Siders now that she’s been tasked as the newest behind-the-scenes *ish maker for the group (aka: Gossip Girl herself).

“One Life to Live’s” David A. Gregory appears in the episode as Aidan, the boy toy of Diana Payne (guest star Elizabeth Hurley, who returns as the founding editor of the fictional Spectator newspaper), according to a CW representative.

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, published today, Gregory tells the magazine more about his character.

“He is essentially cougar bait for Elizabeth Hurley,” said Gregory. “She was the sweetest woman! The entire cast and crew was very generous with their time. It was nice to get a chance to do prime-time after doing daytime. They take more time with their setups. I felt like I got more time to think about what I was doing and I think ‘One Life to Live’ prepared me for that.”
