(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — "As The World Turns" is set to air its final episode on Friday, September 17, and the show replacing it, "The Talk," isn't set to debut until Monday, October 18, so what does CBS plan to air for the four weeks in between? Soap Opera Network has the schedule.

Beginning Monday, September 20, episodes of CBS' remaining lineup including original broadcasts of "The Price is Right" and "Let's Make a Deal" along with repeats of top ranked "The Young and the Restless" will air in the 2:00 PM ET/1:00 PM PT period currently occupied by the departing "As The World Turns." According to CBS, the repeat airings of "Y&R" will include "episodes that are emotionally relevant to current stories," which is code for shows that aired in the recent past. Knowing how ABC does their "relevant to current stories" repeat airings, it is presumed that the network will be airing episodes following the upcoming death of a major character and its subsequent episodes which includes a military salute to said character at their funeral.

Due to their game show nature, CBS is able to order new episodes of "Let's Make a Deal" and "The Price is Right" without much prep-time. The same can not be said for daytime soaps such as "Y&R" or "The Bold and the Beautiful," which need months of preparation before a new episode airs on the network. Therefore, CBS will be airing original episodes of both game shows and "Y&R" during their regular time slots in addition to the originals (repeats for "Y&R") airing in the soon to be vacant time slot.

What follows is the CBS schedule beginning September 20 through October 15, 2010 (all times eastern):

Chew Watch: A Look at Talk Shows Performance in Women 18-49

Marc Berman of TV Media Insights has been doing an excellent job in reporting the overnight ratings data for ABC's new daytime talk show "The Chew," which replaced soap opera "All My Children" in the 1:00 PM ET/12:00 PM PT timeslot on Monday, September 26. Since the talker debuted it has lost ground compared to "AMC's" performance at the same point last year in television households. Now more than a week since its debut, Berman has revealed that the show is also losing ground in the all important Women 18-49 sales demographic compared to how "All My Children" had performed as well.

Former ‘All My Children’ Actress Gets a Class in ‘Jersey Couture’

Noting the nations thirst for New Jersey based reality entertainment, in the summer of 2010, the cable network Oxygen jumped into the fray with "Jersey Couture." Except for being based in New Jersey, viewers will not see much similarities between this series and the eccentricities of Bravo's "Real Housewives of New Jersey" and MTV's "Jersey Shore." "Jersey Couture" rather takes a page from TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress." Both programs share the same producers. This reality series follows the fun and drama surrounding the Scali family (and their customers) as they run Diane & Co., one of New Jersey's premiere dress boutiques.
