Days of our Lives

Emmy-award winning soap star Eileen Davidson has plenty of experience dealing with drama, having played “The Young and the Restless’” Ashley Abbott since 1982 and “Days of our Lives’” Kristen DiMera since 1993, but the actress is admittedly having a bit of trouble adjusting to the intense drama she’s enduring as part of the upcoming season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills!”
It’s been a “secret” for months, but the news that “The Young and the Restless’” Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott; Kristen DiMera, “Days of our Lives”) and Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie Reed, “DAYS”) have joined the cast of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” is slapping the few unaware viewers in the face this morning: Both soap divas are featured in the reality series’ brand new cast photo and Season 5 premiere trailer that Bravo just released!

Ratings Report for the Week of October 20-24, 2014
While it's been the worst kept secret in daytime, Soap Opera Network can finally report that actress Molly Burnett is returning to NBC's "Days of our Lives" in the contract role of Melanie Jonas, a role in which she originated in 2008. Burnett, who left the soap in 2012 in order to pursue outside projects, returns to Salem as her character harbors a secret that even daddy Jonas (Shawn Christian) isn't aware of!
While he played a waiter on two episodes of CBS' "The Bold and the Beautiful" in 2010, actor Christopher Sean is getting the chance to play what he loves when he joins the cast of NBC's "Days of our Lives" next week as Paul, a baseball player who is being treated by Dr. Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian) after an injury he's sustained. His first airdate is set for Friday, November 7.
“It’s impossible to forget Samantha Brady!” declared Caroline (Peggy McCay) on yesterday’s episode of “Days of our Lives,” exactly mirroring the thoughts that many of the sudser’s fans have had on their minds leading up to star Alison Sweeney’s last episode today. Many tears have been shed (both onscreen and off), but was the character’s exit really movie magic? Or would a completely different ending been the way to go?
On Thursday, November 6, fans of NBC's "Days of our Lives" will once again say goodbye to Eileen Davidson as she wraps her three month stint as Kristen DiMera on the daytime drama series. During her return, much of Kristen's storyline revolved around her rivalry with Theresa (Jen Lilley) and her unusual relationship with Daniel (Shawn Christian), which included a roll in the hay.
After two decades of super sudsy storylines, Alison Sweeney is wrapping up her time as Samantha Brady on today’s episode of “Days of Our Lives.” And to mark the emotional occasion, the actress has penned a heartfelt letter to fans thanking them for their support!
Something wicked this way comes: “The Taking of Deborah Logan,” a horror flick starring “All My Children’s” Jill Larson (ex-Opal Cortlandt)! And with Halloween creeping closer, there’s no better time to delve deep into the devilishly delightful (or rather, frightful) details of the film, which is already being heralded as an occult classic. Soap Opera Network caught up with Larson to the get the behind-the-scenes scoop, so read on for the scary details — if you dare!
POP’s “Queens of Drama” is rolling out the red carpet and delivering exactly what the show’s title implies: In addition to the list of popular soap stars already attached to the reality show, “Dynasty” legend Joan Collins will also be a part of the new show!
From drama on “Days of our Lives” to comedy on “The Nanny,” Charles Shaughnessy (Shane Donovan) is a jack of all acting trades. And he’ll soon be showing off his skills on the ABC primetime hit, “Revenge!”
As previously reported, soap stars Lindsay Hartley (“All My Children,” “Days of Our Lives,” “Passions“), Crystal Hunt (“Guiding Light,” “One Life to Live”), Vanessa Marcil (“Beverly Hills, 90210,” “General Hospital”), Chrystee Pharris (“Passions,” “General Hospital”) and Hunter Tylo (“The Bold and The Beautiful”) have signed on for POP's newest reality series, "Queens of Drama," where the ladies will work together to produce a pilot for a new serialized primetime drama series. As the poster above warns, today, October 28, marks the beginning of production for show. Donna Mills (“General Hospital,” “Knots Landing,” “Melrose Place”) will also be taking part with special appearances.
Roxanna’s steamy “Unforgotten” music video featuring “Days of our Lives’” James Scott (ex-EJ DiMera) set the world on fire, and the flames will continue to roar: The pair has reunited in a second music video for the singer’s next single, “Here With Me,” which serves as a prequel to “Unforgotten.” And guess what? Soap Opera Network sat down with both Scott — who recently departed the daytime world — and Roxanna to get the scoop on what fans can expect from Part Two of their onscreen romance!
