Queen of Soaps Susan Lucci (Genevieve Delatour, “Devious Maids;” Erica Kane “All My Children”) is adding one more accomplishment to her long list of admirable achievements: She’ll be returning as host for the 13th Annual UCP of NYC Women Who Care luncheon!
The benefit — which celebrates extraordinary accomplishments of women as professionals, caregivers and volunteers — is to be held at New York City’s Cipriani 42nd Street on Wednesday, May 7th. Lucci is a former Award honoree and has been deemed as the perfect fit to return as host.
“Susan’s longtime dedication and work on behalf of women, children, and families, combined with her own extraordinary accomplishments as an actress and author, made her the perfect choice to be our new host,” says Loreen Arbus, Disability Rights Activist/Producer and Founder/Chair of Women Who Care. “We are thrilled that Susan will continue to play a major role in helping us to shine a much-needed media light on the largest minority in the world: people with disabilities.”
Daytime fans might remember Billy Magnussen as “As the World Turns’” Casey Hughes, a role he played from 2008-2010. But the Broadway world has taken notice of the young actor for his work in front of live audiences, and his recent stint as the empty-headed yet handsome boy-toy Spike in “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike” has even earned him a Tony nomination! But will the former soap stud be able to nab the role? You’ll have to tune in to find out!
