The banner fans pulled together $785 for in honor of their favorite actor, , who was fired last month from “” amidst allegations he fondled the breasts of one of his co-stars, finally flew over the CBS Television City Studios on Thursday, January 9, which wasn’t the actual intended studio, reports TMZ.

While the wording of the banner changed from “NO ADAM NEWBIE, JUST MICHAEL MUHNEY,” to “#TEAMMUHNEY SUPPORTS MICHAEL MUHNEY” with a heart at the end, TMZ noted that if the fans wanted their support of the actor to get the attention of CBS honchos, they should have flown the banner over CBS’ offices in the valley.

In a bit of soap opera irony, former “” star (ex-Kyle Lewis), who happened to be in the area, spotted the banner and posted a picture on his Twitter page. In his tweet he said, “[bleep] just got REAL” with the hashtag, “soapwars.”

Imagine what better things they could have spent this money on. The banner is even adorned with a fan-girl heart. These ‘fans’ claim they only watch Y&R for Mr. Muhney, so why the hell do they think CBS should cater to them? If Muhney had decided to leave on his own, they would have still blamed CBS, and threatened to boycott. CBS/Sony won’t roll over for this type of shenanigan.

      Wrong studio? LOL
Just shows how intelligent they are. I’m glad, they wasted their money, and it would have still been wasted even if they would have gotten the right studio.
SONY isn’t going to roll over and risk a lawsuit to keep him, no matter how many banners they fly or threats they put out there.
