The OnLine Network (TOLN) has confirmed the following stars who have joined the cast of "All My Children." As previously reported, "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" began production on Monday, February 25 in Stamford, CT for new episodes scheduled to release later this spring on Hulu and iTunes. Today, The OnLine Network (TOLN) announced the following contract cast for the reboot of "AMC":
Earlier today Paos Revolution (aka: Soap Revolution flipped) announced that actor Ray MacDonnell is scheduled to make a return visit to Pine Valley as Dr. Joe Martin. It was previously stated by Michael E. Knight (Tad Martin), in a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, that MacDonnell would likely be appearing on the reboot of the soap when Knight said, "I think the Martins are going to be well-represented with Cady and I hear Ray. I’m sorry if Ricky [Paull Goldin, ex-Jake] won't be. I'm blessed, personally, that the Martins are going to be represented."
In preparation for it's last network presentation on Friday, September 23, "All My Children" has been spending each day of this week paying tribute to one of its core four Pine Valley families. On Wednesday, the Martin family will take center stage. Mary Fickett memorably played the Martin matriarch Ruth, wife of Dr. Joe Martin (Ray MacDonnell), for more than a quarter of a century. Wednesday's episode will be dedicated to Fickett who passed away at the age of 83 due to complications from Alzheimer's disease on September 8, 2011.
Esta TerBlanche and Shannon Kane will both return to "All My Children" later this summer. Kane, a rising film star, will reprise the role of Jesse Hubbard's (Darnell Williams) daughter, Det. Natalia Fowler, beginning on Friday, August 26. 38-year old South African beauty, TerBlanche reprises the role of the love of Ryan Lavery's (Cameron Mathison) life Princess Gillian Andrassy beginning on a date yet to be announced by the ABC soap.
On Friday, ABC Daytime finally announced the return to the canvas that "All My Children" viewers were most anticipating since the news of the 41-year old daytime drama's cancellation on ABC back in April. David Canary is returning to the 41-year old daytime drama as the one and only Adam Chandler. His return will coincide with the returns of long-time veterans Julia Barr, Ray MacDonnell and Lee Meriwether. The foursome will return to the Los Angeles studio to tape their scenes next month and are slated to air in approximately a handful of episodes this September
