The series, which premiered in February 2025 on CBS and drops fresh episodes daily on Paramount+, is currently in its second season and was recently renewed for a third and fourth season, keeping it on the air through at least the 2027-2028 television season.
Created and executive produced by Michele Val Jean (“The Bold and the Beautiful,” “General Hospital”), who also serves as showrunner and head writer, “Beyond the Gates” is set in a fictional leafy Maryland suburb just outside of Washington, D.C., in one of the most affluent African American counties in the United States.
Episode one of the daytime drama series kicks off with the spirit of scandals, backstabbing, grudges and family drama, highlighted by the Duprees, an affluent Black family who hold court over Fairmont Crest, a posh gated community at the center of luxury, where wealthy residents harbor deep secrets. Behind the pristine walls and lush, manicured gardens are juicy secrets and scandals waiting to be uncovered.
The show’s cast includes Brandon Claybon, Colby Muhammad, Daphnée Duplaix, Tamara Tunie, Clifton Davis, Karla Mosley, Arielle Prepetit, RhonniRose Mantilla, Ben Gavin, Jen Jacob, Kenjah, Alex Alegria, Colby Muhammad, Jibre Hordges, Ambyr Michelle, David Lami Friebe, Sean Freeman, Timon Kyle Durrett, Marquita Goings, Keith D.
