We TV has released the official trailer for its highly anticipated, eight-episode docuseries, “Tia Mowry: My Next Act,” premiering Friday, October 4 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on the network and streaming service ALLBLK.
According to a synopsis, the show sees Tia Mowry (“The Game,” “Sister, Sister”) as she details the distorted narrative of her relationships and life, removing the filter like never before, while embarking on a fearless and fierce journey of self-discovery post-divorce, as she moves on from the idea of being part of a duo, first as a twin sister, then as a wife. She’s now ready to set her own path for the first time.
In the trailer, Mowry is shown navigating her newly single status, a new phase of motherhood, as well as building businesses and juggling her ever-evolving career. The series features the actress and mother having discussions with those closest to her, including some of her larger-than-life friends and family, like former “Sister, Sister” co-star Jackée Harry (Paulina Price, “Days of our Lives”), who is set to appear in at least one episode of the series.
“You’ve gotta be out there and have fun. It’s hunting season, child. Let me tell you,” said Harry to Mowry after hearing her former on-screen daughter explain how she quit dating early on despite barely tiptoeing into the concept.
Executive produced by Mowry, Adam Griffin and Erin Richards, “Tia Mowry: My Next Act” will also be available to stream on the popular AMC streaming service ALLBLK in addition to We TV, AMC Networks’ destination for compelling unscripted television.
