Fresh off his return visit to “General Hospital” as Lucas Jones, actor and musician Ryan Carnes and his LOVECOLOR bandmate Vanessa Silberman recently released their fourth single, “Hearts on Fire.”

Formed in November 2022, the band notes the song continues to showcase their predilection for anthemic pop hooks, big beats and melodic synth lines. Not only will the song charm you, but it will also put a smile on your heart.

“People often say ‘when you know, you know.’ Even though that can seem trite and like an eye-roller, and it can seem unbelievable to someone who has yet to experience that in their own lives, the truth is that… you do. You do know. And what’s f’ed up about it is that I think it can be hard to know the difference and to ‘know that you know’ and what that will feel like, until you’re actually living it and knowing that you know,” said Carnes in a statement on the release of the song. 

“I think this song speaks to that phenomenon. There’s a sort of elation and magical quality to getting to experience that knowing with another,” Carnes continues. “At the same time, there’s a calm assuredness. It’s a transcendent experience, and we wanted to personify that in this song.”

“‘Hearts on Fire’ started as a demo that happened really quickly — maybe over a weekend —  and turned into an entire song really fast. Then, later, we embellished it and built upon the initial track. Lyrically and emotionally, the song is just about getting everything that is inside out, in a very therapeutic way,” said Silberman. “The song is very much about feeling so sure about someone, like you just know you’re gonna be with someone and you just need them in your life.”
