CBS to Broadcast the Complete Third Season of ‘Yellowstone’ in January

CBS will continue airing episodes of Paramount Network's "Yellowstone," scheduling all ten episodes from season three to air on the network in January.

After airing the first two seasons as a stopgap due to the now-concluded dual Actor’s and Writer’s strikes that impacted Hollywood for the greater part of six months, CBS recently announced that they will continue broadcasting episodes of “Yellowstone” with season three scheduled to air primarily on Sunday nights throughout the month of January.

Beginning Sunday, January 14, CBS will broadcast the first three episodes from season three from 8:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT and another three episodes on Sunday, January 21 during the same broadcast hours. On Sunday, January 28, CBS will air two hours of the series from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT, followed by the final two episodes of the 10-episode third season airing on Monday, January 29 from 9:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Having reached nearly 33 million unique viewers since it began airing Sundays on CBS, “Yellowstone” is averaging 5.04 million viewers per episode (Nielsen Most Current Persons 2+) and ranks as the #1 entertainment program on the night.

“Yellowstone” chronicles the Dutton family who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds and hard-earned respect, the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, vicious business rivalries and America’s first national park.

The second half of the fifth and final season of “Yellowstone” is expected to begin production in the spring, reports Deadline, citing the weather as one of the big factors determining the schedule as the show shoots “largely outdoors in Montana and would need to wait for the winter to be over.”

The series stars  Kevin Costner as John Dutton, the family patriarch. The cast includes Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bently, Cole Hauser and Kelsey Asbille, among others.

MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios produce the Taylor Sheridan and John Linson co-created series. John Linson, Art Linson, Taylor Sheridan, Kevin Costner, David C. Glasser and Bob Yari are executive producers.
