Overall, “The Kelly Clarkson Show” was up +2% in Total Viewers compared to the same week last year (1.344 million vs. 1.31 million) and ranked a solid second among the 11 syndicated daytime talk shows, behind only number one ranked “Live with Kelly and Mark” (2.235 million). “The Kelly Clarkson Show” managed to beat out third place “The Drew Barrymore Show” by +279,000 viewers (1.344 million vs. 1.065 million)*. The fifth season of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” kicked off with the show taping from its new home in New York City, within the iconic studio 6A at Rockefeller Center. The premiere episode began with an all-new season five Kellyoke video and featured Kelly’s new neighbors, including Andy Cohen, Hoda Kotb, Jenna Bush Hager and Seth Meyers, among others. The week continued with a popular “Songs and Stories” episode with Alanis Morissette and a duet and interview with Billy Porter. Additional guests included Jane Krakowski, Eric Nam, Nick Offerman, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sesame Street’s Elmo and Oscar the Grouch, Paul Shaffer, Bowen Yang, a performance by Enhyphen, and new Kellyoke covers all week long, including “I Won’t Give Up” (Kelly Clarkson), “Stronger” (Kelly Clarkson), “New Attitude” (Patti LaBelle), “Crimson and Clover” (Joan Jett & the Blackhearts) and “1985” (Bowling for Soup).
