TUNE IN ALERT: ‘Welcome to Great American Christmas’ Hosted by Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison on GAC Family

GAC Family to air all-new special "Welcome to Great American Christmas" hosted by Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison, airing tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT, previewing upcoming Christmas movies.

Launched on September 27 as a rebrand of the Great American Country network, tonight, Saturday, October 16 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT, GAC Family will air its first annual “Welcome to Great American Christmas” special hosted by Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain, “General Hospital”), who previously hosted Hallmark Channel’s “Home & Family” before it was canceled earlier this year.

The special will preview the network’s upcoming original Christmas-themed movies along with special celebrity guests stopping by to share some of their favorite Christmas crafts and recipe ideas.

Some of the movies scheduled to air this season include a reteam of Mathison with Jennie Garth (“Beverly Hills, 90210”) in “A Kindhearted Christmas,” premiering Saturday, November 20 and Jen Lilley (“Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital”) and Brendan Fehr (“Roswell”) in “Royally Wrapped for Christmas,” premiering Saturday, November 27. Other movies include “Much Ado About Christmas,” “The Great Christmas Switch,” “Christmas Time Is Here” and “Christmas Is You.”

GAC Family hails from former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott who left the network in January 2020 after it came under fire for its handling of a commercial featuring a gay couple and its lack of diverse talent on camera and behind the scenes.

The network is currently available through multiple cable and satellite, including Altice, DirecTV, Hulu, fuboTV, philo, Dish, Comcast, Cox, AT&T U-verse, Frontier, Spectrum, and others. Check local listings for channel numbers.

Outside of its Christmas-themed programming, GAC Family also airs reruns of classic television series such as “I Dream of Jeannie,” “Bewitched,” “Silver Spoons” and “Father Knows Best,” among others.
