This year marks 51 years since Bill Hayes made his debut on “Days of our Lives” as Doug Williams, and in that time his character has dealt with the typical soap staples in terms of storylines such as murder mysteries, car accidents, impotency problems and so much more, but beginning Wednesday, September 1, look for the character to deal with a new emotional storyline that’ll have Salemites on edge.
Teasing what’s to come, the shared Twitter account for Bill Hayes and his real-life wife and long-time scene partner, Susan Seaforth Hayes, who plays Julie Williams, shared yesterday, “Exciting storyline featuring Doug, Julie, Marlena [Deidre Hall], and John [Drake Hogestyn] begins tomorrow!” The tweet noted that things will be “shocking, intriguing, exciting… a must see!”
